Ok, the $99 iPhone at Walmart rumor didn’t come true. Atleast not completely. iTunes 8 AppStore

But, there are a lot of cool apps to be had for Free or $0.99 at the AppStore.

  • Smart Bill Splitter (finance) is now FREE (orig $1.99)
  • iShopSmart (utilities) is now FREE (orig $1.99)
  • Whether (weather) is now FREE (orig $1.99)
    until Jan 15
  • Tasting Notes (lifestyle) is on sale for $0.99 (orig $4.99)
  • EasyWriter Pro (productivity) is on sale for $0.99 (orig $2.99)
  • TextGuru (productivity) is on sale for $0.99 (orig $4.99)
  • LocWidget (navigation) is now FREE ($1.99)
  • Advanced English Dictionary and Thesaurus 1.1 (reference) is on sale for $0.99 (orig $9.99)

    I bet if that rumor was true it would generate quite a splash among the existing users who paid premium. Didn’t AT&T offered same discount for refurb units for a while?

    This is not fair. They should make it free and then raise the price and not the other way around. Or give previous buyers refunds.
