MagicPad is a new iPhone App that has been submitted to the AppStore for verification and inclusion. One of the common complaints about the iPhone’s usability is the missing copy/paste feature. Now, MagicPad bridges that gap. Almost.

MagicPad is actually a rich text editor with these cool features:
- You can choose 6 different font styles
- 5 different font sizes
- Bold, italic, underline and strikethrough capabilities
- Ability to email your rich text documents to anyone
- Tap and drag across text to copy it and paste it.
Unfortunately, these features would not transfer to other iPhone applications limiting it’s use to just MagicPad. It is nice to have this feature in this app, but cut and paste has to be a system-wide feature and I am sure Apple is working on it. It was surprising to see that it didn’t make it to iPhone 2.0 software after all the outcry.
Atleast, MagicPad’s implementation of this feature should give Apple some impetus if they aren’t already working on it. Apple iPhone Apps reports that MagicPad should soon be releasing a series of videos demonstrating this feature that they tested on other applications as well in their public website. Also, check out the video demo in the first link.
I am not sure if this is a paid or free app as it’s not available at the time of writing this but will keep you posted.
