The new iPod Touch was introduced in today’s Apple Let’s Rock event. Here are the juicy details.
The new iPod Touch starts at $229 and is being dubbed the ‘funnest iPod ever’. Some of the new features in the new iPod Touch are:
- App Store is here for iPod Touch – needs iTunes 8
- Built-in speaker
- Gets the Genius feature – create an save intelligent playlists
- Sleeker design with contoured polished stainless steel enclosure – that was a mouthful
- Built-in wireless support for Nike+. Insert a Nike sensor in your shoe and run!
- Better volume controls on the side
- Longer battery life – 36 hours of audio and 6 hours of video
- Newer accelorometer
- Support for mic-enabled headphones finally brings VOIP possibility to iPod Touch
