EasyWriter is a iPhone-iPod Touch App that is available in AppStore that aids you in writing emails easier and faster by supporting landscape mode.
You can use it for writing emails either new or when you are replying to an email. Some cool features of EasyWriter that makes it stand out from the rest are
- Pinch and zoom to adjust text size
- Save drafts to come back to later after a call or sms or power loss
- Maximizes vertical space in landscape mode
- Supports international character
You might be wondering how to use this when you are in the native mail app right? Well, to reply to a mail using EasyWriter, just follow these few easy steps
- Start in mail and start the reply
- Click the Home button
- Open EasyWriter app and enter your reply
- Press ‘Send to Mail’ and the text you typed will appear in the reply field.
I have a feeling this app might have a very short lifespan as Apple might include landscape mode support in the Mail app in any of the future firmwares even including the impending iPhone 2.2 firmware. But, until then this app is going to be incredible useful to type out long replies with your iPhone or iPod Touch. Don’t you agree?

I’m happy to report that last night Apple approved version 2.0 of EasyWriter Pro, which includes two new features: A spell checker that is as powerful as any desktop spell checker but fits in the iPhone UI, and Blackberry-style AutoText so you can type something short (like “sigâ€) and have it automatically replaced by a longer text clipping.
